The Lovely Few

A couple months back we started discussing the possibility of a special edition Orionids cassette.  I got a lot of help from friends like Aaron Graves.  

Nick Jenkins suggested this random group called Mirror Universe, saying that if you wanted to release a tape in SC, they were pretty much the way to go.  They had released stuff from Ernest and Chaz way back.  

Come to find out, Mr. Jenkins AND Mirror Universe would get a mention in a little something we like to call SPIN magazine.  

Congrats guys!  Hope the press produces some good energy for you.  You deserve it.  

(And if you want to see Mr. Jenkins live, he’ll be playing with us on March 23 in Columbia, SC, at Tapp’s.)

The Brit-based blogger had lots of really nice things to say:

“great atmospheric sounds,” Try Again is called a “gloriously catchy rock song with beautiful vocal and instrumentation melodies,” and “certainly won me over as a fan.”

Glad to hear it!  We need more fans, for sure.  

I was a little confused by some statements, though:

“a new band…” is five years still new?

“…known as The Meteor Series. Unfortunately I don’t know what this series is…”

Well, it’s a series about meteor showers.  We can send you a press kit if you’d like… or you can read our blog here.  We tried to make that pretty clear.  We posted the seal in the artwork to make the covers look a little more pulp.  

We’re so grateful for all the good press, especially in Europe!  I’m going to count later, but I think we have more reviews now in Europe than North America.  If you’d like any details from us, please contact us.  We’d hate for you to publish something without all the necessary info.   

Thanks for the love.  We, like many artists, could use all the help we can get.

Das Klienicum mentions our recent press release regarding the forthcoming Hearts and Plugs release of The Perseids.  According to Google Translate, they say we’re “stingy fine, really.”  Danke?

Some kind words from Scene SC.  

Our first posted press.  Scene SC ranks “The Limited Abilities…” at #8 in the top ten SC releases in 2010!  Not bad for a record released at the end of December.
