I was real excited to do a poster for The Restoration, I had a lot of fun doing this one. If you haven’t listened to them, go do so now because they rule. It’s 18x24 4 colors on cheap white stock in a super duper limited edition of 30 (many of which have been released into the wild…). HUGE THANKS TO THE HALF & HALF, who besides having trained me in the ancient art of the gig poster, let me use their cutter and stuff, and generally rule at life. I will have a few at the show which I will trade you for a ten dollar bill.

If you can recall, The Half and Half did the artwork for our first LP.  This poster is wonderful, Mr. Puza.  Wonderful.  And while it’s meant for The Restoration, I’m going to go ahead and appropriate it for us via the title track of our latest LP.

Hope you can make it to the show.

Show this Saturday!

April 30 at New Brookland Tavern in West Columbia, SC.

With Efren, a band from neighboring Georgia, and locals The Restoration.

Doors open at 8pm.  All ages are welcome.  $7 if you are an elder (that’s 21 or over, not necessarily a leader in the church).  $10 if you are a youngster (that is 20 or younger, not necessarily a child).

So, come check stuff out.

I will be debuting a new song, either at this show or the next one, at the House of Softcore on May 6 with Girls in Trouble.

More details on THAT on the way.

See you Saturday.

Some things…

First, we are playing a show this weekend.

I have the honor of not only being friends with Mr. Phil Windsor (of Ghosts of the Great Highway), but I also got to play drums on his new record, “Wrestle it Down,” which will be released TOMORROW, 26 March 2011.  Last night I went over to Archer Avenue Studio to practice with Kenny McWilliams, who performed on and recorded the album, and Austin Crane.  Austin, who played banjo on the record, will be playing his solo material tomorrow night as well.  All said, it’s going to be a good night with good music and good friends.

Second, we are booking shows.

After playing twice this week, we will also be playing shows in late April and early May.  30 April with local legends The Restoration, and 6 May with New York gems Girls in Trouble.  More details to come on all of that.

If you would like us to play in your town, please let us know.  We would love to visit.  Probably.

Third, we are working.

And unfortunately that is interfering with the musical work going into the Perseids, our current astronomical epic.  Still, we are making progress with the writing, and I am quite a bit excited about it.  On the downside, I think I am finally biting the bullet and upgrading my Reason 3.0 to 5.0.  Kids today and their Reason 5.0…  When I was your age, we programmed in the snow, uphill, both ways, with typewriters…

Did that sound forced?  It felt forced.

AND, finally,

sales reports are in.  For January.

PLEASE
TELL
YOUR
FRIENDS
ABOUT
THIS RECORD
.

Please?

k, thanks.
